It has been our good fortune to have worked with Kathy Gardner when both buying and selling our homes.

My first experience with Kathy was when I purchased my first home in Reseda in 1997. Kathy´s genuine understanding of my needs and knowledge of the market enabled me to buy a wonderful home despite my somewhat limited resources. She scoured the valley searching for the "right" property for me and when we finally found it, she made the deal happen.

In 2001 the time came for me to sell my home (I had to relocate for my husband´s job), of course, we turned to Kathy. She was extremely attentive and respectful of our concerns and conditions for showing the house as well as getting the right price. Kathy even managed to sell it above the list price before it even went on the open market.

After living on the east coast for three years we returned to the San Fernando Valley and again turned to Kathy to find us a home. After looking at many houses, we found our home in late November and by mid-January we were homeowners again. Kathy made the transaction go as smoothly as possible. She is a wonderful negotiator and ever-mindful of her client´s best interest.

In as I haven´t made it entirely clear, I heartily recommend Kathy! She is a caring professional. Should the time come for us to move again, I know I can rely on Kathy to get the best deal for us..on both ends.

When my husband Colin and I first started talking about finding a house, we both agreed that we wouldn't use a realtor and just go about it ourselves. Past experiences taught us that a realtor would clutter our lives with phone calls, random listings, and appointments to look at houses in which we just weren't interested. Luckily for us, we met you at an open house and you offered to put me on your email list. I reluctantly said yes, but to my surprise, you really did only contact me by email as promised, and only to send me listings that matched my criteria. Since then, it´s been a real pleasure working with you in finding our new home. I´m all about doing business online, I loved the feature of sorting through the listings on my own, tagging whatever interested me. In our first day of looking, you were incredibly attentive to our likes and dislikes for our future home, to the point that if I tagged a listing that looked like it was a match, but it actually wasn't, you would warn me ahead and not waste our time pushing something we didn't want (even if it was your listing!). The greatest part was that you never tried to "sell" us a house. You just let us look around, asked the right questions of the seller´s agent, then waited till we gave you our opinion. You even won the heart of our two-year old son, Kieran, by entertaining him and giving us a chance to really explore each property. It wasn't long before you found a home that we felt was perfect for us.

The process of purchasing the home however, was far from "perfect" with difficult negotiations with the seller, back-and-forthing with the mortgage broker and endless delays from the bank. The only thing that was always solid and reliable was the service we received from you and your support staff. You always managed to calm us down when we ran into any hurdles and took care of so many of the small details. We always felt very secure in your hands, knowing you were protecting our interests. Most impressive was your attention to us even after the sale. You certainly don´t close and run! We very much felt that you cared about our transition into the new home, not just as a realtor, but a caring person watching a family create a new space. Though we still have many boxes to unpack, we awake every morning in love with our new home, and are so thankful to you for being an integral part of that process. We have already passed your name around to family and friends in the market and look forward to the next time we can work with you again.
